"A Mystical collision of Butoh and Theatre...En Trance is a wonderfully expressive union of music and text, image and movement, bound together by the irresistible logic of dreams".
The Age
Type of Work: Cabaret |

Writer & performer Moira Finucane and director/collaborator Jackie Smith in collaboration with the extraordinary physical artist Yumi Umiumare (Japanese Butoh dancer and shock cabaret artiste). The project was a short and intensive crucible for their physical styles and energies and resulting in the creation of new and experimental performance: very short works in solo, duet or group configurations.
At the end of their 2 week workshop, the artists held two informal, experimental performance nights, showcasing the outcomes of their work together.
