Yumi Workshop Series



Before proceeding with your purchase, please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. You must not complete your purchase unless you agree with these Terms and Conditions.


Ticketing

This agreement creates a contractual relationship between Yumi and the individual/party (the Participant) who attends a workshop program (Workshop) organised by Yumi.


Booking Fees and Taxes

Booking fees for a ticketed Workshop are 50 cents per ticket.

There are no booking fees for Free events.

Any discounted ticket offer only applies to the ticket price, not the booking fee.

Any ticket purchases and all booking fees are inclusive of GST, where applicable.


Cancellation Policy and Procedures

Once payment has been received via Trybooking, any cancellations must be made in writing to butohout@gmail.com

1) Cancellations made in writing 4 weeks prior to the commencement of a Workshop will receive a 100% refund with the deduction of the Trybooking handling fee.

2) Cancellations made in writing 2 weeks prior to the commencement of a Workshop will receive a 50% refund.

3) Cancellations made less than 2 weeks before the commencement of Workshop or no-show will receive no refund.

4) There is no full/partial refund when/where the Participant does not appear at any day of the Workshop due to their own personal reasons outside Yumi’s control including but not limited to illness; illness of any person accompanying you to the event, or other person for whom you need to care; transport failure or delay; or where you choose not to attend the event.

You will be entitled to a full/pro-rata refund at any point if that is as a result of complying with COVID safe practices or government health directives.


Credit transfer and Refund in relation to COVID-19

We are offering additional flexibility through our refund policy at this time, having regard to the uncertainties posed by COVID-19 and to encourage you and the members of your booking party to comply with the stay-at-home requirements.
 
You will be entitled to a refund (including pro-rata refund if you have already attended one or more of workshop sessions) or credit transfer to another Workshop if you and your booking party falls into any of these categories:

a. You and your booking party are required to self-isolate or quarantine (and the event falls within the isolation/quarantine period) due to:

i. being a confirmed case of COVID-19; or             
ii. having close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19; or
iii. living in or having been in a high-risk area within Australia; or
iv. having returned from overseas.

b. You and your booking party have COVID-19 symptoms, have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting test results (and the event falls within the period of awaiting test results). The symptoms of COVID-19 include: fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of sense of smell.

You must contact us as soon as possible if you fall into any of these categories.

Credit Transfer is only permitted to another Workshop scheduled at a later time, subject to availability. If there is no other Workshop available or suitable, then it is a refund.

Refund for tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to that credit card. Tickets purchased by cash, cheque or EFTPOS will be refunded by direct EFT deposit.

COVID-19 safety when you attend Yumi Workshops
 
When you and your booking party attend our Venues and Workshop, you must comply with any COVID-19 safety protocols or  requirements notified to you by us (including by way of signage at the Venue or by way of line markings on the floor). This includes complying with:

a. At a time of writing, Yumi staff will need to sight your certificate for double vaccination or medical exemption prior to the commencement of workshops or a performance.

b. Hand hygiene requirements and the requirement to wear a face mask;

c. Physical distancing requirements (including physical spacing requirements while queueing);

d. Person limits for particular spaces and areas; or

e. Person density requirements.

You acknowledge that anyone not adhering to these requirements may be in breach of directions issued by the Chief Health Officer for which penalties may apply.

The most up to date COVID-19 Safety protocols can be found on the website – please check these on the day before arriving at the Venue.

Information Collection
You acknowledge that we may be required to collect contact tracing information from you and each member of your booking party when you and they attend the Venue. This includes the first name and phone number of each person who attends the Venue including children and babies. You must communicate this requirement to each member of your booking party before they attend the Venue.

You agree to provide us with any information we are required to collect for contact tracing purposes. The purpose of collecting this information is to assist any contact tracing in the event of an outbreak or potential exposure to someone with COVID-19 at the Venue. You acknowledge that we may disclose contact tracing information to health authorities or as otherwise required or authorised by law. You acknowledge that we may retain the information for 28 days (or such longer period as required by law), after which time it will be deleted or destroyed. While we hold the information, we will take all reasonable steps to keep your contact tracing information secure and free from unauthorised access or use.

Without limitation to clause the Terms and Conditions, you and your booking party may be refused entry or required to leave the Venue or workshop if you or they:
 
a. refuse to comply with any COVID-19 safety protocols or requirements notified to you by us;

b. refuse to comply with any reasonable health and safety directions given by Venue/Yumi staff;

c. refuse to provide contact tracing information to us on request;

d. are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, as notified to or as assessed by Venue/Yumi staff. These include: fever, chills or sweats, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of sense of smell;

e. have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting test results; or

f. are required to be in self-isolation/quarantine due to:
i. being a confirmed case of COVID-19; or
ii. having close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19; or
iii. living in or having been in a high-risk area within Australia; or
iv. having returned from overseas.

In these circumstances, Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded unless required by law (including the Australian Consumer Law).

We ask that you and each member of your booking party make a reasonable assessment of your health status before attending our Venue or Workshop. To avoid doubt, unless required by law you will not be entitled to a refund if you or a member of your booking party attends our Venue or event despite you exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms and if you or they are then refused entry or asked to leave the Venue or Workshop.

You must notify us immediately if you or any member of your booking party develop any symptoms of COVID-19 within 14 days of attending a Venue/Workshop. Please contact us immediately by calling us on 0413 454 531.

Yumi acknowledges the Wurundjeri people who are the Traditional Custodians of this land where we live, gather and create on. We would also like to pay respect to the Elders both past and present of the Kulin Nation and extend that respect to other Indigenous Australians present and emerging.

Terms and Conditions

Ticketing - Performance

This agreement creates a contractual relationship between Yumi Umiumare (Yumi) and the individual/party (the patron) who attends all publicly ticketed events produced by Yumi held at any locations, and any virtual and/or digital events held completely online.


Booking Fees and Taxes

Booking fees for a ticketed performance are 50 cents per ticket.
There are no booking fees for Free events.
Any discounted ticket offer only applies to the ticket price, not the booking fee.
Any ticket purchases and all booking fees are inclusive of GST, where applicable.


Definitions

Latecomers: Latecomers are patrons who have purchased tickets to an event, or wish to purchase tickets to an event, who arrive at the venue after the advertised start time and after the performance has already begun.  Yumi is not responsible for patrons who are unable to arrive at the venue prior to the advertised start time of the event.

Lockout: A lockout is when no latecomers are permitted to gain entry to a performance after the doors to the theatre are closed and after the performance has begun. Reasons to lockout an event include, but are not limited to:

The discretion of the artist;

Maintaining the artistic quality of the work;

The stage must be crossed to access the seating.

Policy

All pre-sale bookings must be paid in advance via Trybooking.com  

Pre-sale bookings close a minimum of two hours prior to the advertised start time; some circumstances require pre-sale bookings to close more than two hours prior to the performance. All tickets will be sent via email and are not required to be printed.
 

If a performance sells all available tickets prior to the beginning of a performance, it is Sold Out. Additional tickets cannot be sold unless a seat becomes available, which is not guaranteed. If there is a late entry point, Yumi may offer uncollected tickets to any waitlisted patrons at a discount.

Refunds and Exchanges

Yumi offers no refunds on tickets sold except in line with the Live Performance Australia Ticketing Code of Practice. These exceptions include:

Where a performance is rescheduled/cancelled and no viable exchange option is available to the patron;

Where a booking has been made through an error on Yumi's behalf and the patron has notified us prior to the ticketed event;

Where a performance fails to meet the patron’s expectations due to acknowledged false, misleading or deceptive representation regarding the performance.


Refunds will not be provided for:

Patrons who are no longer able to or choose not to attend a ticketed event, or who have been asked to leave the venue with just cause;

Patrons who arrive at the venue after the performance has begun, and a lockout is in place.


Exchanges will be provided under the following circumstances, and at the discretion of Yumi’s staff:

Where the exchange is for a different session time for the same event and can be actioned within Yumi’s ticketing system;

Where the patron has contacted Yumi prior to the first date of the entire Season;

Where there are tickets available for the desired exchange.


COVID-19 refunds and exchanges

In the instance that a patron cannot attend the event due to a COVID requirement to test and isolate. KPP can action the following:

An exchange to another session of the same performance;

Where an exchange is not possible, (e.g. the patron will not be out of isolation until after the event) a full refund.


In order for the above to be completed the patron will be required to send an email to Yumi with proof of communication from the DHHS of a requirement to test and isolate.
